Princess and Pirate Party

Three cheers and arghs for our amazing Princess and Pirates Party.  This past friday, Grandma Diane had all of our boisterous buccaneers and pretty princesses over for an afternoon of fun. It was a chance to end the summer off with a true fairy tale bang. We had lots of crafts, a scavenger hunt, cupcake decorating, games, more games and treats. It was so much fun to see the cousins playing together and enjoying being little.

New York! New York!

Last week Jim and I had the great opportunity to get away, and go to New York, kid free. Yes, KID FREE!!!!!  We left late Tuesday night and came home Sunday evening.  So five fabulous days, foot loss and almost fancy free. We had so much fun and were able to do so much in such a short time. We saw broadway plays a galore- Young Frankenstein, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Spamalot and Chicago. We also had the great experience of taking the train to go see Don and Jane in PA for the day- It was so wonderful to see them and we are so thankful that it worked out to spend time with them.

It was so good to get away for a while and to date my husband. Thanks to all the people who were willing to watch my kids, especially Grandma Diane and Monae.  It really made coming home to them such a sweet treat and gave me the extra energy I've needed to try and tackle potty training.
